This week, I received a Fabulous hair cut that I needed DESPERATELY! I don’t really trust anyone… Silly I know, considering I’ll cut my own hair, but the idea of paying someone to do a mediocre job bugs me.
That’s until, I discovered my old friend, Drew, whom is an assistant at Angus Mitchell Salon in Beverly Hills. On model day, he brought me in, did an AMAZING job with expert advice the entire way, and it cost $5. AND I was given both a cappuccino AND a mimosa! Next, I’m getting hooked up with Keratin Straightening and Color – definitely FAB and on a BUDGET.
It’s a great idea to find a great salon and inquire if they have an assistant program — Many times you can get great hair at a fraction of the price.
BEFORE: I felt like I had to wear it to the side all the time or top knot it. It was heavy, grown out, but I let it grow so I could get rid of the assymetrical side without cutting it too short. Since really, I want this shizz to grow!

This is July 2011. This is what it was grown out from:

I was constantly curling or flat ironing to make it work and hide my grow out — it worked pretty well actually, but it was HIGH maintenance.
Here’s Drew cutting meh hurr. The mimosa was so delicious. I had to make sure to only have one, so I could resume a productive day!

AFTER: It’s symmetrical, shaped, and poised to grow, grow, grow!

I have so much more versatility, and it looks healthy, lays right, and has volume.

Thanks Drew!!

So cute! I love how you styled it in the last shot!
Oh, thank you!! This was actually at the end of the night!! At the beginning, it was REALLY tall!! I think I’ll be rocking the pomp again!! xo
