Toile is Fabulous!

I think I’ve sort of always been into toile: the perfect traditionalism and irreverence at the same time. I have a wingback toile chair (you can see here) that I purchased from one of my favorite thrift stores of all time for $18.

I also have a collection going of reproduction Staffordshire England China in chinoiserie blue toile that I purchased a while ago from Ross. L-O-V-E.

I’ve always wanted to do something like these spaces: matching upholstery and wallpaper. I’ve also always wanted an entirely toile bathroom. I think that small spaces are really good in bold prints or hues.

These pictures are so lovely, but they’re sorta like when you get your haircut, and you just can’t wait to get home and mess it up a little bit. I just want to throw in some hollywood regency & mid-century modern to break up the seriousness.

The pink is not exactly my thing, but I can definitely appreciate the kitsch appeal.

Loving this serene green, but again, I just want to rough it up and go jump on the beds. Cause a little bit of trouble, add some life! I love, love these pictures but for IRL, it’s all about mixing it up! Check out these toile wallpaper rolls. They range from $5-$35 per roll.
